Logo
If it is possible to capture the essence of Louis J. Billittier's devotion to children -- no matter what their age, race, gender or need -- our Foundation's "Tree of Life" logo featuring plenty of hearts does so very well. Lou's simple but powerful mission was to help kids.
The sturdy oak tree in the logo stands for the Heritage Centers, always very special to him. The hearts symbolize all the work he did for the Variety Club and the Variety Telethon. Images of children on the log recall his extraordinary efforts on behalf of Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
The most wonderful part of a "Tree of Life" is its potential for the future. May the seeds of community involvement and selfless service "planted" by Lou throughout his life, flourish in those od us aspiring to follow his example.
